In 2022, Scherer Metals proudly acquired Classic Metals, Inc., one of our largest competitors and a key player in the formation and construction of Denver International Airport (DIA) on Peña Boulevard. With owners Mark and Debi preparing for retirement, the shared values and strengths between our companies made the merger a natural and lasting fit.

 

​Classic Metals' humble beginnings actually trace back to Scherer Metals, where Mark began his career. When management changed, he decided to launch his own business venture with a fellow Scherer colleague, and Classic Metals, Inc. was born.

In 2024, we welcomed Colorado Custom Stainless, Inc. (CCSI) into the Scherer Metals family. Founded by Tom, a longtime family friend and respected competitor, CCSI brings valuable additions to our product offerings and perfectly complements our existing capabilities.

The metal fabrication community in Denver is small, and our goal is to honor and carry forward the legacy of these outstanding companies, united under one team.
